A rare Palladian early Georgian Limestone fireplace mantel in the sculpturally monumental manner of William Chambers 1723-96, carved in Portland stone, the shelf supported on an ogee carved frieze with large egg and dart carved breakfront under shelf detail flanking the plain paneled central plaque, the Dog-Leg jambs supported either side with florally carved scrolled consoles on large plain foot blocks.
