GCAT is able to produce very high quality architectural and ornamental stonework in natural stone.

Design and Production

Ornamental stonework and statuary can be hand carved by our award winning masons in our modern workshop. The stonework can be produced in a traditional classical design or a more contemporary style to match different homes and life styles as well as architectural features. We also take the greatest care when planning and producing ornamental stonework for individual garden statues and fountains.

Our specialist carver masons are highly trained and able produce hand carved architectural stonework and sculptures carved from specially selected Portland and Bath stone, granite and imported French and Portuguese stone.

Stone Selection

It is very important to use the correct type of stone when producing and hand carving architectural stonework. Our specialist team can advice on material selection and design detailing for all types of natural stone used in both ornamental and architectural stonework produced from both American stone and imported stone.

Restoration

 GCAT has extensive experience in restoring and repairing different types of ancient stonework and statues, many from Grade I and II Listed buildings and churches. Our masons are experts in the restoration and conservation of all stonework and have over the years sympathetically repaired window mullions, sculptures and gargoyles with matching stone.
